PDR
Since
1983, DF and DHF cases ccurred in Lao, initiated in
the big and crowded cities, mostly in 5 provinces; Vientiane
municipality, Borikhamvay, Klammouane , Savannakhet
and Champassak. The total cases and deaths is shown
below. The first and second outbreaks were limited only
in Vientiane.

Cambodia
00000000Since 1962,
Cambodia has been facing regular dengue fever outbreaks
which affect children in areas with concentrated population,
especially in Phnom Penh and Battambang cities. Epidemics
were reported in 1983, 1985, 1987 and 1990 which also
peak years in Thailand. The CFR range from 3.6015%.
The most severe outbreak occurred in 1995 with ore than
10,200 cases and 420 deaths, which correspond to an
attack rate of 104/100,000 population. In 1996, there
were 1,433 cases with CFR of 5%.
